Educator & Partner Policies
Payout Policy
This policy explains how Bookbloom LLC (operating Knovia) settles and pays educator and ambassador earnings. Schedules below are typical; the Platform and your dashboard control what is available for your country and method. Minimums and withdrawal fees in the tables are loaded live from our payout configuration.

1. How Payouts Work
Confirmed earnings settle to your Knovia wallet in your designated payout currency. You withdraw from that wallet to an approved payout method for your country. Knovia selects and may change the licensed payment providers used behind those methods. Changing providers does not, by itself, reduce confirmed wallet balances already owed under this policy.
Ambassadors, where the programme is active, use the same wallet and withdrawal infrastructure and the same fee schedule unless the Ambassador Terms state otherwise.
2. Payout Currencies
Educators receive payouts in the canonical currency associated with their country of registration (or another currency we expressly enable for that account). Currencies we currently configure for educator payout / fee schedules include, among others:
- Africa (local canonical examples): NGN, GHS, KES, ZAR, UGX, TZS, RWF, XAF, XOF, ZMW, EGP, ETB, MAD, MUR, MWK, SLE
- International (examples): USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, CHF, and other currencies shown at payout setup (including selected EEA currencies where enabled)
Availability of a currency or method can change for legal, banking, or provider reasons. What you can select in the dashboard is authoritative for your account.
3. Settlement Timing (Typical)
After a sale, earnings move through a confirmation period before they become Available (withdrawable) wallet balance. That period is the longer of: (a) the Platform refund-risk window (commonly about 24 hours for access-based digital products), and (b) a payment-settlement floor that depends on the buyer's presentment currency (for example about one business day for NGN — weekends excluded — and longer calendar holds for many other African and international currencies). Service delivery holds (Section 7), any new-account hold (Section 5), and compliance holds (Section 6) can extend this further. Your Wallet Pending balance shows earnings not yet Available.
- Wallet confirmation: Driven by Platform settlement rules (and delivery status for service products), not by a separate public SLA per currency region.
- Withdrawals: May be manual or on an automatic schedule you choose where enabled (for example weekly or monthly), once minimums are met and no blocking hold applies.
- Outbound arrival: After a successful withdrawal request, arrival at your bank or mobile-money wallet typically takes one to several business days and depends on the method and provider rails for your country.
These timings are operational targets, not guaranteed SLAs. Banking holidays, provider outages, and compliance reviews can extend them. Your dashboard balance and withdrawal status are authoritative for what is currently withdrawable.
4. Payout Methods
At payout setup you choose from methods we enable for your country — commonly local bank transfer and, in some African countries, mobile money. Other methods (for example international transfer or provider wallets) may be offered when available. You must provide accurate payout details; failed transfers caused by incorrect details may incur provider fees or delays.
Some optional methods require additional verification with the underlying payment provider in addition to Knovia's own identity checks. Where that applies, we disclose it before you complete setup.
Mobile money
Offered only in countries where we have enabled it. If mobile money is not listed for your account, use bank transfer or another available method.
5. New Educator Hold
We may apply an additional hold for new educator accounts (for example delaying automatic payout or confirmation for an introductory period of about seven days from sale, for a limited number of early payout cycles). Whether a hold applies, and for how long, is shown in your earnings / wallet / payout views when active. The absence of a hold in your dashboard means the standard confirmation window (Section 3) and other applicable holds control.
6. Compliance, Investigation, and AML Holds
We may delay, freeze, or withhold payouts during anti-money-laundering review, sanctions screening, payment-provider review, fraud or chargeback investigation, or material policy investigation. AML-style reviews may add up to about ten additional business days (or longer if required by law or a provider). Where practicable, we notify you within about 24 hours that a hold is in place.
Open clawbacks, chargeback recoveries, or negative balances may block further withdrawals until resolved. Such holds do not, by themselves, constitute breach of the Terms of Service.
7. Service Delivery Holds
Earnings from service products (for example tutoring, live study sessions, and academic review) stay in a delivery-pending state until the service is completed or otherwise resolved under Platform rules. This is marketplace settlement timing, not a separate escrow account.
- Tutoring / live sessions: typically released after session completion or a defined outcome (including no-show rules in the Refund & Cancellation Policy).
- Academic review service: typically held until delivery plus the post-delivery dispute window (or until a dispute is resolved).
8. Minimum Withdrawal Thresholds

9. Withdrawal Fees
A withdrawal fee is charged per successful transfer request to cover outbound payment processing. The fee may be flat, percentage-based, or tiered by currency and method. It is deducted from your wallet at withdrawal time and does not vary by educator subscription tier. Collection fees on buyer payments are separate and are addressed in the Educator Terms / fee disclosures at sale time.

10. Tax Responsibility
Bookbloom LLC / Knovia does not withhold, calculate, or remit personal income tax on educator or ambassador earnings unless required by law. You are solely responsible for declaring income and paying taxes in your jurisdiction. Downloadable earnings statements may be available from your Payouts dashboard to support your filings.
11. Chargebacks, Refunds, and Recovery
Buyers pay Knovia through licensed payment providers. If a sale is refunded or charged back, we may reverse related earnings and recover the chargeback amount, provider fees, and reasonable related costs from your pending balance, wallet, or future earnings. If your balance is insufficient, we may invoice you for the shortfall.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for delivering services you sell. Conduct that causes chargebacks (non-delivery, misrepresentation, fraud) may also trigger enforcement under the Terms and Educator Terms. Where practicable, we notify you of a chargeback deduction within about 24 hours.
12. Delays Outside Our Control
We are not liable for payout delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including payment provider or banking outages, regulatory actions, incorrect payout details you supplied, or force majeure events described in the Terms of Service. We will resume normal processing as soon as reasonably practicable.
